Sports Club Athleema: Games of Mental Skill

Athleema- The Sports Club at Asian Education Group organized “Games of Mental Skill” for all BBA and BCA students on 12th September 2018 in which all of them participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. The event comprised of 4 different activities namely Chess, Riddles competition, House of Cards and Sudoku. Nearly 100 students participated in riddles competition, 20 in Sudoku, 70 students in Chess and 50 students in card games. Overall, more than 200 students participated in these events. The other budding managers were responsible for discipline, coordination and managing the event.

Riddles competition consisted of riddles based on sports. The competition went for 3 rounds, with team of Sonu, Mukul Singh, Ahmed, Satvik, Abhishek and Sandeep winning the competition. Card games consisted of House of cards. The team of Shahid and Arushi made the maximum number of pairs and emerged victorious. In Sudoku, Shivam emerged victorious with Arpit and Shubham as 2nd and 1st runner up respectively. In chess, Anmol was declared winner on the basis of technique and extraordinary play. The objective of the event was to build self confidence in students, develop their planning abilities, enhance concentration, goal setting, stress management and developing the art of imagery & visualization.

The event was a big success. Students dispersed with lot of happiness, encouragement and motivation as such events which are organized from time to time at Asian School of Business give the BBA and BCA students a chance not only to display their talent but also to influence personal characteristics, such as self-esteem and sportsmanship. Such activities not only provide our management and BCA students break from study but also provide them social opportunities, lead to higher self esteem and help them learn real world skills like teamwork, time management, problem solving, analytical thinking, leadership and public speaking.
