AAGAZ: National Level Nukkad Natak Competition

With an aim to acquaint young minds with social awareness, self – reliance and teamwork, the Dramatics Club of Asian School of Business, Abhivyakti, conducted a National Level Nukkad Natak Competition to make students discover the drama artist in themselves. The Activity offered an effective platform to display art, creativity, wittiness and convey a strong social message through a powerful Play/ Skit to be presented in National Level Nukkad Natak Competition. The acts highlighted social realities relevant to current times and definitely left an indelible mark on the minds of the audience.

The students selected their acts from one of the following themes for the Activity:

Theme 1: Challenges of Transgenders

Theme 2: Challenges of Physically Handicapped

Theme 3: College life in Offline / Online Mode

Theme 4: Female Infanticide

Theme 5: Child Marriage

Theme 6: Dowry

Theme 7: Say No to Plastic / Go Green

Theme 8: Terrorism

Theme 9: Drug Abuse

Theme 10: Domestic Violence

Theme 11: Coronavirus Awareness

 

Primary Objective: The Dramatics Club is dedicated to bringing the joy and power of Drama to students by providing high-quality dramatic programming. It also aims to bring out the innovative side of the students and to help them be more presentable.

Secondary Objective: The Drama Club pledges to offer participants the chance to experience the excitement and rewards of theatre arts while developing poise, social skills, confidence, and the ability to work with others.

Judgement parameters: The participants were judged based on: Acting / Performance, Presentation / Visual Impact, Coordination / Teamwork, Creativity / Artistry and Confidence.

The outcome of the Activity:  To promote the artistic skills of students and help in teamwork, the ability to speak and emote before an audience thereby increasing the emotional quotient of the students. The students also got benefitted from guidelines to improve their gestures, creativity, stagecraft, and acting skills by expert judges.
