Chartered Accountancy (CA)
Chartered Accountancy or CA is another important course that Commerce students can pursue to become Chartered Accountants. In order to pursue CA in India, the student needs to register with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). Any student who has completed Class 12th or equivalent with at least 50 % aggregate from a recognized board or university can pursue CA.
Company Secretary (CS)
Company Secretary or CS is yet another great course that Commerce students can pursue after Class12th in order to become a Company Secretary. Students who have completed their Class 12th or equivalent with at least 50 % aggregate from a recognized board or university can pursue CS. An important thing to note here is that, in order to pursue this course and earn the CS degree, the student will have to register themselves with the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Laws (BA LLB)
B.A. LL.B. or Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Laws is an integrated Law course offered at undergraduate level. The eligibility criteria here is that aspirants should have cleared their Class 12th in any discipline with the minimum required percentage. As regards the course duration of B.A. LL.B. programme in Indian universities and colleges, it is normally 5 years.
