Why BBA’s popularity is on the rise today?

When we complete our Higher Secondary Exams (12th), or even before that, the biggest question in front of us is what career option to choose and accordingly, what courses to opt for? There was a time when students had limited choices, which predominantly revolved around BA, B.Sc and B.Com courses. However, the changing times have forced education institutes to offer courses beyond these traditional rims that are designed to handle modern-day business challenges and needs. Hence, today it is no surprise to see that there are a number of choices such as BBA, BCA, BBM, BSC (IT), and BMS etc. being offered by institutes which are widely accepted by students who find them as alternate choices for a successful career.

One such course which is steadily gaining popularity is BBA or Bachelor of Business Administration. A BBA programme is a three years course that is spread over six semesters with each semester of six months offered by almost all reputed colleges and education institutes in India. The main aim of the course is to prepare students aspiring for management positions in the corporate world to understand the fundamentals of business administration and management principles. Students, moreover, are allowed to specialize in core business functions such as Finance, HR, Marketing, Analytics and Operations Management.

At Asian School of Business (ASB)-Noida, which is ranked as one of the top BBA colleges in Delhi NCR, BBA is an industry integrated program that bridges the gap between industry and academia. Young students acquire the skills and competencies required for the global employment market by enrolling for a ASB BBA course. The BBA course also helps them develop problem-solving strategies and critical thinking in real-life situations. After the completion of the course, a BBA graduate will find job opportunities across many sectors such as Retail, Banking, Finance, and Insurance, IT, Marketing Research, Recruitment, Manufacturing and Consultancy easily and quickly.

The curriculum for BBA course, in general, covers Business Management, Accounting Principles, Business Statistics, Business Communication, Quantitative Methods, Financial Management, Business Law, Career Planning & Development, Marketing Management, Indian Constitution, Human Resource Management, Cost & Management Accounting along with the core electives (specialization).

After completing a BBA course, if students want to pursue higher education to widen the scope of career opportunities, they can opt for a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a graduate-level degree that is often desired by employers for top and important positions within their corporate organizations.
