The Entrepreneurship Development & Incubation Centre (EDIC) of Asian School of Business hosted their 2nd annual business plan competition – ‘Road Not Taken’ on November 3, 2018 to continue encouraging new business development ideas. The competition came from a desire to help students push their business ideas closer toward reality with advice and review from the experts of AEG’s business management community.
The event was organized in two stages; the first round was an intra-college round. Then second round was among various colleges of Delhi NCR like KCC Institute of Management, Gittaratan Institute of Business Studies, ITS College and Greater Noida Institute of Technology including students of Asian School of Business.
Out of all the business plans submitted, 9 of those moved forward to present their ideas. The students displayed and pitched their ideas for starting a new business to a panel of three members and received helpful feedback on how to continue moving forward. The panel of judges included Mr. Mukesh Hans, Mr. Vinod Dhar and Dr. Resham Sundrani. To encourage the top teams, Dr. Anubhuti Dwivedi, Principal, ASB felicitated the students with certificates and trophies.
Overall, the event served as a platform to have insights for developing a business plan. The thought process of the students toward needs of the society was quite remarkable. The business ideas included the solution to car parking problem, app-based assistance in case of break-down, customizing gifts for your loved ones and many more.
