Industrial visit : Bikano

Objective: The industrial visit to Bikano Namkeens was organized with the aim of providing students with practical insights into the production processes of namkeens and the packaging techniques employed by one of the leading brands in the industry. The visit aimed to enhance students’ understanding of food manufacturing, quality control, and packaging in the context of the snack industry.
Introduction: Bikano Namkeens, a renowned brand in the Indian snack market, welcomed our group of students for an educational tour of their production facility. The company is known for its diverse range of high-quality namkeens, snacks, and traditional Indian sweets.
Overview of the Visit:
- Introduction to Bikano: The visit began with an introduction to Bikano Namkeens, including its history, mission, and values. The students gained insights into the company’s commitment to quality and innovation in the snack industry.
- Production Process: Students were given a comprehensive tour of the production floor, where they witnessed the entire namkeen manufacturing process. This included raw material processing, mixing, frying, flavoring, and quality control. The use of advanced machinery and technology in each stage was highlighted, emphasizing efficiency and precision.
- Quality Control Measures: Bikano’s commitment to quality was evident in the detailed explanation of their quality control measures. Students observed the stringent checks in place at various stages of production to ensure the consistency, taste, and safety of the final products.
