Date of Visit: 13th February 2025
Organized by: Asian School of Business
Program: BCA 2nd Semester
Location: Network Bulls Private Limited, Sector-14, Gurugram, Haryana, 120001

Asian School of Business organized a one-day industrial visit to Network Bulls Private Limited for the BCA 2nd Semester students on 14th February 2025. A group of 40 BCA 2nd Semester (Section-A) students, accompanied by Prof. Shilpa Narula, participated in this enriching visit. The selection of Network Bulls for the industrial visit was based on several compelling reasons, including its prominence and relevance to the students’ academic curriculum:

  • It is the world’s largest CISCO training lab.
  • It offers 100% practical training on live CISCO routers and switches.
  • Networking and security training in such an environment can significantly enhance problem-solving and research skills.
  • Networking is applicable across various industries such as education, finance, insurance, entertainment, and healthcare.
  • Emerging fields like the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are closely tied to networking, which offers future project opportunities.
  • Multiple surveys and reports highlight the critical need to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application in networking.

Upon arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by the staff at Network Bulls. The visit began with a theory session conducted by Mr. Shubham, Technical Trainer at Network Bulls. The session started with an introduction to fundamental networking concepts, followed by an explanation of the advantages of certifications. Topics such as the OSI model, TCP/IP, routers, IPv4, and IPv6 were covered in detail, with real-life examples provided to enhance understanding. The session concluded with a discussion on the importance of acquiring practical skills in networking.

Following the theory session, students gathered in the CCNA Lab, which was fully equipped with real networking devices such as CISCO routers, switches, and other essential equipment. Here, students gained hands-on experience using the CISCO Packet Tracer Tool. A live demonstration of CISCO networking, routing, switching technologies, and IP addressing schemes was provided to the students, offering them an invaluable practical exposure to the concepts they had learned in the classroom.

The session ended with selected students receiving certificates based on their performance in both the theory and practical sessions. The visit concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Shilpa Narula, expressing gratitude to the staff at Network Bulls for their support and valuable insights.
