The Literary Club – Gnosis at the Asian School of Business hosted an innovative and imaginative storytelling competition titled “Twisted Curtains: Flip the Script, Rewrite the Magic” on 8th October 2025. The event invited students to breathe new life into timeless fairy tales by reimagining them across genres, giving rise to stories that were as unexpected as they were enthralling.
Objective
The event aimed to nurture students’ creative expression, teamwork, and narrative craftsmanship while encouraging them to think beyond conventional storytelling frameworks. By challenging participants to “flip the script,” Gnosis sought to foster originality and confidence in both written and spoken storytelling.
Event Overview
Teams of two participants took classic fairy tales such as Cinderella, Rapunzel, Tenali Raman, and The Frog Prince and presented them with inventive twists — ranging from sci-fi adventures to psychological thrillers and satirical comedies. The auditorium buzzed with energy as participants turned familiar tales into captivating performances that showcased wit, emotion, and creativity.
The event witnessed participation across various streams, each bringing its distinct style, voice, and imagination to the stage. The storytelling performances were interspersed with laughter, applause, and awe, reflecting the sheer enthusiasm and talent of the ASB student community.

- Teams brought fresh perspectives to age-old tales — Cinderella became a villain in her saga, Tenali Raman turned into an AI Model, Alibaba and the Forty Thieves got redefined as a dystopian social satire.
- The audience was deeply engaged throughout, cheering for the innovative plots and witty dialogues.
- The event was entirely student-driven, reflecting the creativity and teamwork of ASB’s young talents. Adnan and Akshita captivated the audience with their lively anchoring, while Himanshu and Ananya meticulously handled the event scripts and documentation. The vibrant moments of the day were beautifully captured by Humam and the talented members of LensNation, preserving every story told and smile shared.
- The programme concluded with closing remarks by the student coordinators of Gnosis- Akshita and Adnan, who commended the participants for their enthusiasm and originality, encouraging them to continue exploring the power of words and imagination.
