ASB as an institute aspires to be the best not just in terms of education delivery, but also in terms of incorporating value-added activities within the course curriculum. The institute thinks that managers with a human face can only be created if the ‘to be managers’ understand and accept social realities and collaborate closely with the community. To demonstrate our commitment to these goals, the club organizes a variety of CSR activities throughout the year, including volunteering in non-profit organisations, working with the local community, hosting discussion forums and lectures to disseminate knowledge, exchange ideas, and share best practices related to CSR. The key objectives of CSR club are -to build students into responsible citizens thereby giving back to the society; to instill values of kindness, helping nature and to make students aware about their social responsibilities; to help students internalize the concept of CSR and work towards the society for its betterment; to sensitize students towards the individuals, society and environment thereby inculcating in them a sense of responsibility towards the society.
In order to spread the message “Giving back to society”, the CSR Club of ASB organised a visit to NGO Goonj for the 6th time on May 25th 2022. The visit provided the students a platform to witness the process of effective utilisation of the so-called waste and its recycling into new products. The students, on behalf of the Asian School of Business, donated clothes, stationery items, toys, and many more items. It was indeed a very good experience to connect with society, making them more enthusiastic and passionate about contributing to society.
