About NSS
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a flagship Central Sector Programme of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India. Established in 1969, NSS aims to develop the personality and character of student youth through voluntary community service, embracing the guiding principle of “Education through Service.”
At the Asian School of Business (ASB), the NSS Unit is a vibrant platform that encourages students to become socially responsible leaders and active citizens.
Through a wide range of activities such as environmental drives, blood donation camps, health awareness campaigns, educational outreach for underprivileged children, and community development projects, the NSS volunteers of ASB actively contribute to creating a positive social impact.
The NSS Unit at ASB not only enhances students’ leadership, teamwork, and organizational skills, but also nurtures values of empathy, inclusivity, and civic responsibility — preparing them to serve the community and the nation with pride.
NSS provides opportunities for students at the school (+2), undergraduate, and postgraduate levels to participate in diverse community-oriented activities and government-led social development programmes. These experiences instill a strong sense of social responsibility, empathy, discipline, and nation-building values in young minds.

- The blue colour represents the cosmos, showing that NSS is a small but significant part of the larger universe, contributing to the welfare of humankind.
