Utsav, the Cultural Club, at Asian School of Business, organised ‘The Bollywood Battle” on March 28 and 29, 2023, at its premises with great enthusiasm and glory, much accentuated by the glorious competitions that included recreation of cinema reels, identification, and singing of Bollywood tracks, along with a round of Bollywood quiz. Each competition was intended to bring out the inbuilt talents of the students, boost confidence, and enhance the creativity to be presented in front of the peer students.
With a total of 30 team registrations, more than 150 students participated in the intra-college competition, the day began with several rounds of competitions in all three categories—Cinema Reels, Guess the buss and Bollywood Quiz— with teams from different courses showcasing their talent, enthusiasm, and team spirit. Different rounds in the competition showcased the singing, dancing, and acting skills of the students, along with their presence of mind. The club offered students a platform and an opportunity to create, to watch, to enact, to live, and to showcase their love for Bollywood using different art forms and expressions. The day marked the presence of talented participants from different batches.
The distinguished judges for the event included Prof. Tanushree Srivastava and Prof. Rachita Kapoor, from Asian School of Business. The winning trophy and certificates for the competition were taken by Team Sundar Sundar, a team of 1st and 2nd year students. The team marked its victory by showcasing a strong team spirit and enthusiasm. The event turned out to be a successful one and left behind a trail of great memories and achievements, along with a boost to the bright colours of Indian cinema among the students.
