On the occasion of ‘World Environment Day’, the Community Service Club of the College joined hands with the rest of the world to commemorate this important day. One of the key focuses of World Environment Day is to “Beat the Plastic” and address the urgent issue of plastic pollution. The theme undertaken by the Community Service Club and UBA of Asian School of Business was “If you can’t refuse it, recycle it, reuse it”.
The awareness drive was conducted among the students on reducing single use plastic, recycle, disposal of plastic and sustainable packaging. The students were motivated to participate in cleanliness drive within the campus premises. Moreover, the adopted villages were updated with the harmful impact of plastic waste that is being generated in each one’s home. The students will conduct a drive within the campus so as to make our campus plastic free.
The institute will further extend its hand by signing an MOU with the NGO which will further collect the waste and put the same for re-cycling. By making conscious choices, promoting sustainable alternatives, and raising awareness, we can all contribute to beating the plastic and creating a cleaner and healthier environment for ourselves and future generations.
