Asian School of Business celebrated a month-long festival of Entrepreneurship and Innovation from September 19 to October 18, 2024, commencing with a series of inspiring sessions by industry pioneers, Mr. Vikas Bagaria (Founder of Pee Safe and Radcliffe Hygiene Pvt. Ltd.) and Mr. Pawan Agarwal (President – KECT, Co-Chairman – Indian Academy of Entrepreneurship & Mentor, Mumbai Dabbawalas). Their invaluable insights motivated our students to think creatively and pursue innovative business solutions.
We conducted the “Start-Up of the Year” Competition on September 20, where students showcased their groundbreaking business ideas, which were judged by Mr. Mani Dev Gayawali (Co-Founder of The New Shop). This competition was a fantastic opportunity for students to exhibit their entrepreneurial spirit and creativity.
A team of 15 students attended the IDE Bootcamp, organized by Innovation Cell, Ministry of Education, Government of India from September 23 – 27, 2024 at Lucknow. This bootcamp gave the students a wonderful opportunity to empower the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs through hands-on learning, focusing on critical entrepreneurial skills such as design thinking, business modeling, financial planning and enterprise strategy.
The festival was enriched by collaborations with CII-YI on October 14 and ICT Academy on October 15 that aim to not only enhance the industry-academia interface but also to offer students a plethora of opportunities including internships, start-up mentoring, idea incubation, and guidance from industry leaders. The partnerships aim to cultivate entrepreneurial skills and enhance employability among students, aligning their academic learning with the rapidly evolving demands of the corporate world.
The Institution Innovation Day was celebrated on October 15, featuring an invigorating session by our Faculty Coordinator of EDIC Cell, Ms. Somya Gupta, who shared with the students the significance of the Day and emphasized the importance of fostering a culture of innovation.
The highlight of the month was the Bharat Startup Festival held on October 16, where we played host to a galaxy of industry stalwarts, including Dr. Jitendra Kumar (MD, Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council), Dr. Sandeep Marwah (President, AEG), Dr. Vinayak Nath (Co-Chair, Startup 20, G20), Col. Saurabh Sanyal (Advisor in Chief, BSIS), Mr. Ojasvi Babber (CEO, Amity Innovation Incubator), and Dr. Lalitya Vir Srivastava Srivastava (Director, AEG), who inspired students with insights on the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The mega festival was concluded by a hands-on workshop by our esteemed alumnus, Siddhant Magon, who had started his own entrepreneurial venture in event management during his tenure at our campus.
This vibrant celebration underscores our commitment in nurturing the next generation of business leaders and innovators.
