Asian School of Business recently held its annual inter-college cultural fest known as ‘KESSHET’ on Thursday, 17th January 2019 at its campus in Noida. KESSHET 2019 was celebrated with great pomp and enthusiasm, and in complete Bollywood style. One of the attractive event activity at this festive celebration was the “Group Dance & Solo Dance” competition.
Categorized under Flagship Events, “Group Dance & Solo Dance” competition was an event activity earmarked for those who love to Dance their way to success and recognition in their lives.
Dance, it is said, is all about keeping up with the rhythm … about expressing your angst, anger, love, fear, frustration and silence. Here, every group had a story to tell. Keeping up with the beats, synchronizing their every move, these crews strummed the heart strings, as they fought it out for the most sought-after dance.
At this event, there was an option to choose from one of the format – Group Dance or Solo Dance. One could also choose from the themes like Classical, Freestyle, Regional or Western. Besides, there were other detailed rules & regulations which had to be checked from the event coordinator.
Judgment was based on the qualities like Taal, Technique, Synchronization, Rhythm, Abhinaya or Expression, Costumes, Footwork and general impression, etc.
The first prize in solo dance category went to Ms. Richi Pachauri from Asian Business School. The winners in duet were Mallika Singh and Jagmeet Singh Johal also from Asian Business School, while the girls team from Delhi University-Institute of Home Economics won the first prize in Group Dance. An eminent panel of judges constituted by Ms. Monisha Goswami, the renowned theatre artist and choreographer, ensured fair-play and offered constructive words of advice to the performers.
