Pooja Gianchandani is Director and Head for Skills Development with FICCI, India’s leading policy advocacy organization which is at the forefront of social, political and economic change. Ms. Gianchandani’s experience includes a unique blend of international, technical and management experience in both the public and private sectors especially in the skills and livelihoods domain. She has worked extensively on issues such as skills development, unemployment, career services and training.
Prior to joining FICCI, Pooja completed the in-country set up of the Indian subsidiary of A4e Ltd. As the Head of Innovation, Development and Partnerships at A4e India, she handled business operations, strategy, partnerships and development. Previously, Ms Gianchandani has also worked as a member of the founding team of the skills development initiative at CII where she participated in national level policy design and deployment. She has rich experience of working with partners from the skills industry from more than eight countries. With deep interest in the sustainability and CSR, she has also worked been associated with Yes Bank’s sustainability arm ‘Responsible Banking in Thought’ and with NTPC Ltd where she contributed in the set up of its CSR foundation.
