Today iDEATHON 5.O proved itself to be a great opportunity to as many as 35 participating teams from across the country to showcase potential ideas which could be turned into reality along with their entrepreneurial journey. The aspiring entrepreneurs received valuable feedback and also some critical inputs from top industry experts and seasoned entrepreneurs. To grace the occasion we welcomed Capt. Hemant Kumar, Vice President & Chief of Flight Safety at IndiGo. The three jury members were from diverse fields and expertise, the first one being Prof. Mrinaini Shah, Professor IIMT Ghaziabad, Founder Management Veda , and Start Up Mentor. The second judge being Mr. Mohit Sang, Product Head – Digital Consumer Platforms and Products, Adani Digital Labs while the third one being Ms. Shalien Kishore, Manager – Product Design and Strategy, Accenture.
The iDEATHON 5.O Competition consisted of two rounds, first one being the Screening / Eliminating Round wherein 35 teams from 27 different colleges participated to compete for mentioning their mark as the top 7 finalists and also aimed for an attractive cash prize of Rs. 25,000 as Winners. All the teams competed rigorously over both the platforms viz. ZOOM (17 teams) & also on campus (18 teams) in the morning hours starting 10.00 am onwards till 1 pm. The participating colleges for the screening round were Xavier’s Institute of Management, Orissa, AMET University, Chennai, IIMT University, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad, SRCC, University of Delhi, Maharaja Agrasen, University of Delhi, MIET Meerut, AKGEC, Gr. Noida, Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University, Ymca Faridabad, Uttar Pradesh Institute of Design, Institute of Professional Excellence and Management, Trinity Institute of Profesional Studies, Delhi School of Professional studies and Research, Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mangalmay institute of engineering and technology, Chandigarh group of collages jhanjeri, Jim’s Kalkaji, Indo Global College of Management and Technology, Symbiosis, Baikunthi Devi Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Dayalbagh Educational Institute, New Delhi Institute Of Management (Affiliated to GGSIP University), Balaji institute of telecom and management, Manipal university, ASB and ABS.
The top 7 teams got the opportunity to pitch their business ideas in front of few of the country’s best business/ academic personnel in the college Auditorium as the second round of the competition, starting 2 pm onwards. The total participants of iDEATHON 5.O starting from PRELUDE to Finale amounted to a number no less than 135.
The Competition ended with the Valedictory Session and Felicitation of judges with the announcement of Winners as Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology, Meerut who took the cash prize of Rs 25,000 as the winning amount.
