Asian School of Business-Noida, on 8th of December, 2023 arranged a visit to famous Aravalli bio-diversity park for the 1st year students of B. Com. Located on the South Central Ridge and Northwest of Vasant Vihar, is the massive 692 acre Aravalli Biodiversity Park (ABP). This vast green corner is dotted with small slopes and erstwhile clay mined pits of varied depths, shape and sizes. Most of these pits have been converted into conservatories of medicinal plants, ferns and orchids. The park houses a visitor and a nature reserve zone in particular. The landscape also showcases a vast variety of plants from shrub lands, tropical thorn forests, grasslands, deciduous forests, etc. Besides these, the park is also known for its interesting nature trails through the recreated forests and seasonal water bodies offering its visitors ample scope to spend time in nature. The park also has a conservatory of butterflies that hosts over 100 species of butterflies and moths.
The students took a trail walk under the guidance and supervision of Ms. Balwinder Kaur who first briefed students with a very insightful session about the significance of flora and fauna. The students were then taken to different locations inside the park where they got to realize the functioning of nature and how we need to take care of it.
