Visit to Parle-G Manufacturing Unit – Bhadurgarh Date: 15th March 2024

  1. Introduction

On 15th March 2024, students of BBA II-B and B.Com VI Semester from the Asian School of Business participated in an industrial visit to Parle-G, one of India’s most renowned and longstanding biscuit manufacturing companies. The primary objective of this visit was to provide students with practical exposure to large-scale manufacturing operations and to deepen their understanding of supply chain management, production processes, and marketing strategies employed by leading FMCG companies.

  1. Arrival and Reception

The students arrived at the Parle-G Manufacturing Facility in Bhadurgarh, where they were warmly received by the company’s representatives. The visit commenced with an engaging session in the company’s auditorium. During this session, students were introduced to the legacy of Parle-G, its rich history, diverse product range, and its prominent position in the Indian and global markets. The presentation highlighted key aspects of the brand’s strategic journey, including its consumer-focused approach and consistent market leadership.

  1. Factory Tour

Following the introductory session, students were guided through a comprehensive tour of the manufacturing facility. The tour showcased the entire biscuit production cycle, including:

  • Ingredient Mixing and Dough Preparation
  • Automated Baking Processes
  • Cooling and Quality Inspection
  • High-Speed Packaging
  • Storage and Dispatch

The visit provided students with valuable insights into the integration of automation in modern production lines, the importance of hygiene and safety standards in the food industry, and the stringent quality control measures adopted to ensure product consistency and customer satisfaction.

The visit offered a unique opportunity to bridge theoretical learning with real-world industrial practices. Students gained a clearer understanding of:
