The Asian School of Business, Noida, successfully hosted its 12th Annual Sports Meet, ATHLEEMA 2025, from 27th February to 1st March 2025 at the prestigious Jasola Sports Complex, New Delhi. This grand sporting event was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Ishant Sharma, renowned Indian cricketer, who was the Chief Guest, adding prestige and inspiration to the occasion.
Participants:
This mega inter-college sports meet witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 75 top colleges across Delhi NCR, with a remarkable turnout of over 4,000 students. Among the participants, students from Asian Business School (ABS) and Asian Law College (ALC), the constituent institutions of the Asian Education Group (AEG), actively took part, showcasing their sporting excellence.
Inaugural Function:
ATHLEEMA 2025 commenced on 27th February 2025 with a grand torch-lighting ceremony. The torch was ignited by Chief Guest Mr. Ishant Sharma, accompanied by Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chairman – AEG, along with the Directors of AEG, Dr. Lalitya Vir Srivastava, Dr. Saurabh Sharma, and Dr. Gurdeep Singh Raina. Their inspiring words set the stage for an exhilarating three-day sports extravaganza.
Games and Competitions:
ATHLEEMA 2025 featured an extensive array of sports and competitions, including:
- Team Sports: Cricket, Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Tug-O-War, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho
- Racquet Sports: Badminton, Table Tennis
- Board Games: Chess, Carrom
- Athletics: Shot Put, 100m Race
- Other Exciting Events: Pool
- Internal Games: Skipping, Arm Wrestling, Push-ups, Chin-ups
These competitive events provided a platform for students to showcase their talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and healthy competition.
Valedictory Ceremony:
The grand Valedictory Ceremony on 1st March 2025 marked the glorious conclusion of ATHLEEMA 2025. The event was honoured by the esteemed presence of Mr. Praveen Kumar Singh, Assistant Commissioner of Police of Gautam Budh Nagar, who presented awards to the winners and shared his motivational words on discipline, perseverance, and sportsmanship. The atmosphere was filled with cheers, celebrations, and pride, as the best performers of ATHLEEMA 2025 were felicitated with medals, trophies and cash prize.
