Case Craft 1.0 – Case Writing Competition

The Research and Development Cell and Managers Club of the Asian School of Business proudly hosted Case Craft 1.0, an exhilarating and intellectually stimulating Case Writing Competition, on February 19, 2025. Designed to cultivate analytical thinking, problem-solving prowess, and business acumen, the event provided a dynamic platform for students to showcase their strategic and research capabilities.

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across diverse disciplines, each eager to craft compelling, well-structured business cases addressing real-world challenges. Teams were evaluated on their ability to articulate a clear problem statement, conduct an in-depth analysis, and propose innovative, feasible solutions with strategic insight.

The event commenced with an inspiring inaugural session, where distinguished guests and esteemed faculty members underscored the pivotal role of case-based learning in academia and the corporate sphere. Following the inauguration, participants were assigned their case topics and given a fixed duration to develop their submissions, pushing their critical thinking and analytical skills to the forefront.

An eminent panel of academicians and research experts meticulously assessed the submissions, judging them on clarity of thought, creativity, feasibility, and depth of analysis. After a rigorous evaluation process, the winners emerged as:

First Place: Bharat Sachdeva (BBA IV Semester, ASB) – Recognized for a structured approach, innovative solutions, and exceptional presentation skills.

First Runner-Up: Mr. Ashish Awasthi (Ph.D. Scholar, Birla Institute of Management Technology) – Commended for insightful analysis and originality.

Second Runner-Up: Devesh Jindal & Jyoti Kumari (Maharishi Dayanand University) – Applauded for their comprehensive problem-solving and strategic recommendations.

The event concluded on a high note with a heartfelt vote of thanks, appreciating the collaborative efforts of the organizing committee, participants, jury members, and the dedicated coordination team. Case Craft 1.0 successfully served as a catalyst for aspiring professionals to refine their analytical and writing skills while engaging in real-world business scenarios.

Encouraged by the overwhelming response, the Research and Development Cell and Managers Club are eager to establish Case Craft as an annual tradition, fostering a culture of research, strategic thinking, and intellectual excellence among students.
