The final day of the Faculty Development Programme (FDP) at Asian School of Business, held on July 15, 2025, was marked by a highly insightful session conducted by Director Sir, Dr. Lalitya Vir Srivastava, on the topic “Designing of Lesson Plan and Session Plan.” The session was part of the concluding activities under the 16-day FDP themed “Enhancing Teaching, Learning, and Research Outcomes – II.”
Director Sir began the session by highlighting the strategic importance of structured planning in academic delivery. He explained how well-designed lesson and session plans can lead to more effective teaching outcomes, improved student engagement, and better curriculum alignment. He also discussed practical approaches for outcome-based education (OBE) and emphasized the role of measurable learning objectives, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and academic flexibility in designing impactful lessons.
Faculty members actively participated in the session, sharing their classroom experiences and seeking suggestions for improving their teaching practices. Director Sir appreciated their enthusiasm and commitment toward academic excellence.
Following the academic session, the valedictory ceremony of the FDP was held in the presence of faculty members, organizers, and senior leadership. Director Sir felicitated all the faculty members who had contributed as resource persons during the FDP by presenting them with certificates of appreciation. He congratulated them for their efforts and dedication in making the FDP a grand success.
The ceremony concluded with reflections from participants and a vote of thanks. The event marked a successful closure to an enriching developmental journey and reaffirmed ASB’s commitment to continuous faculty development and academic leadership.
