Macumans

Technocrats Club’s “Macumans” event promoted artificial intelligence related awareness along with knowing bright side and dark side of using it. Additionally, students got acquainted with different AI tools for preparing presentations.

The Technocrats club at Asian School of Business organized “Macumans” activity at the campus on 25th April 2024. The “Macumans: Artificial Intelligence versus Humans” based presentation and debate competition aimed to explore and compare the capabilities of AI and human in delivering engaging and informative presentations.

Our event planners were the professionals who contributed to the success of the event. Here, Ms. Shilpa Narula, Ms. Swati Sharma, Ms. Deepali Vishnoi as Faculty Coordinators with Mr. Divyansh Sajnani as student president, Student Vice-President Ms. Alisha Naaz and Student Secretaries:  Mr. Aniket Dey, Ms. Priyanshu Soabhagya organized the event as vibrant and full of life. The competition featured a total of 13 teams of presenters. Each team was tasked with delivering 8 to 10-minute AI tools based presentation, followed by a Q&A session. Out of 13, there were two teams shortlisted for Debate competition.

The debate round took place between teams, Dynamic Players (BBA 2023) and Manukriti (BCA 2023), in which Manukriti team crackerjack the event. Our Supernovas were Samyak Jain, Sneha Sinha, Sanchita Mishra, Ridhima Mathur and our Runner-up Team was Harshit Gupta, Harsh Choubey, Rishabh Sinwal, Pratik Dikshit.

Evaluating AI presentations involved considering specific criteria to assess their quality and effectiveness. Judges evaluated whether the presentation content aligns with the topic or theme, Visual Aids and Designs, Delivery and effectiveness of AI tools. Also they appreciated novel approaches and creative solutions. While AI excelled in precision and data-driven content delivery, human intervention showcased superior emotional intelligence, creativity, and adaptability. The competition underscored the importance of leveraging technology while preserving the human touch in communication and engagement. As AI continues to evolve, finding the optimal balance between technological advancements and human expertise will be crucial for delivering impactful presentations in the future.

Overall, the “Artificial Intelligence versus Human” presentation and debate competition served as a thought-provoking exploration of the evolving landscape of communication and technology, paving the way for future innovations and collaborations in this domain.
