To welcome and commence the new journey of students at Asian School of Business for batch 2023-26, a remarkable three-day orientation program was organized from 11th to 13th September at the ASB campus. The inaugural ceremony of the program was graced by the esteemed and valuable presence of the guests, Ms Pushpa Bector, Senior Executive Director and Business Head Retail, DLF, Ms Aayara Shaheer, Director-Head of Wealth & Insurance, Mobikwik and Mr. Ashish Vidyarthi, Co-founder, Avid Miner. The guests shared their experiences from different and diverse backgrounds, motivating the students for innumerable opportunities waiting for them. The guests also congratulated the students for choosing Asian School of Business as a place to prepare for these opportunities.
Day 2 of the orientation program witnessed an enriching and value-driven session of HR Conclave. The guests for the occasion Ms Sheetal Jerath Sharma, Associate Director, People & Culture, Grant Thornton and Ms. Rajat Sikka, Head Academics Relations- India North, TCS Ltd. offered students with lot many different perspectives of approaching the ideas of education, work, industries and success. The session was followed by one of the most awaited events, Start Up Idea of the Year which was graced and judged by the founder & CEO of Rage Coffee, Mr. Bharat Sethi. The six students who had made it to the competition, presented their ideas and received critical acclaim for the same. The winner was awarded with an I-Pad, a trophy and a certificate from the Asian School of Business.
The 3rd and last day of the orientation was a proper culmination of the event as the presence of Mr. Vijay Shekhar Sharma, founder of PayTm, founder chairman and managing director of One97 Communications truly up scaled the significance of the event. His speech gave students a nearly firsthand experience of how they can dream big, unique and then make it happen with determination and hard work. For the last segment of the session, a talent hunt competition, with an unprecedented amount of energy as never seen before, lit up the ambiance with breathtaking performances of singing and dancing. To judge the performances, Ms. Waluscha De Sousa, Indian actress and model, graced the event as the chief guest. The winner of the competition was awarded with an Apple watch, a trophy and a certificate from Asian School of Business.
