FDP on ‘Basics of Research Methodology’

Research has become an indispensable and integral part of higher education across the globe. From academia to the corporate world, data analytics is used to derive insights in a complex, fast-changing, and uncertain business environment. Various statistical software packages like SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences), R Studio, E Views, etc. have made the job of researchers much easier to analyse and interpret the outcome of the research.

Asian School of Business is organising a one-week FDP on “Basics of Research Methodology” for the faculty members and Ph.D./research scholars aspiring to conduct quality research from August 22nd to August 26th, 2022. The FDP will include hands-on sessions where participants will be able to understand the concepts and applications of various research tools for data analysis through SPSS.

The objective of the FDP is intended to equip participants with basics of research acumen for conducting quality research. It aims to help the academicians in improving and upgrading their research skills, conceptualization, and conduct of research papers. The FDP seeks to familiarise academicians with the emerging frontiers of management research while imparting knowledge about data collection and compilation.

After completion of this FDP, participants will be able to understand the fundamentals of research and choose the right statistical techniques for different research problems. The participants will learn to interpret SPSS output tables for publishing quality research and identify the right journal for the publication of the research papers. This FDP is based on an effective blend of lectures and hands-on practice sessions on SPSS with the help of relevant industry examples to be taken over by esteemed resource persons, Dr. Vineeta Mishra, Associate Dean at ICFAI Gurgaon and Dr. Maroof Ahmad Mir, Dean, Asian School of Business, Noida.

Academicians, research scholars, and students from the management and social science domains are invited to participate.
