Workshop on Modern Age Teaching Pedagogy for Generation Z-  Day 1 “Classroom Pedagogy”

Asian School of Business has organized workshop on Modern Age Teaching Pedagogy for Generation Z from 20th Aug to -13th September 2022. The Day 1 of the workshop comprised of “Classroom Pedagogy” on August 20th, 2022. The session was delivered by Ms. Nehu Gumber, an Assistant Professor in Information Technology.  All the Asian School of Business faculties actively participated and gained useful information from the session. This workshop primality focused on effective classroom interactions between the students and the faculty.

The session started by sharing the importance of the workshop with the participants and making them understand how important is for the faculties to have a positive attitude towards the students.  Then the speaker discussed the different ways, faculties should behave with students and deal with open-ended and closed ended questions from students during classroom lectures.

During the session, Ms. Nehu Gumber also explained the importance of self-image and self-reformation, which helped participant know the essentials required to enhance their personality and build a positive attitude towards the students and the organizations. The spokesperson also focused on the importance of organizational commitment and enriching job involvement that will eventually lead to satisfaction among the faculty members. She also emphasized that one should always seek help from senior faculties to incorporate their experience in effective classroom teaching.

The participants interacted with the speaker and clarified their doubts regarding real-life situations related to students and how to deal with them. The workshop also had a few activities which made the participants have a profound understanding of situations in classroom and the ways to deal with them.

Feedback was collected from the participants towards the end of the session and thereafter, Dr. Maroof Ahmad Mir, Dean ASB, gave his concluding remark and concluded the FDP.
