Asian School of Business celebrates Annual Inter College Cultural Fest, KESSHET 2020

Noida, 2nd March 2020Asian School of Business organized its mega annual inter-college cultural fest by the name of ‘KESSHET 2020’ on Saturday, 29th February 2020 & Sunday, 1st March 2020 at its campus in Noida with full fanfare and gusto, amidst the “Colours of Spring”.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chairman of Asian Education Group said, “KESSHET 2020 is intended to be a platform to position students of various streams and institutions under one common roof of participation to explore, learn, share and innovate.”

Billed as one of the biggest inter-college cultural fest of NCR, India, the event saw a perfect blend of an array of colorful activities ranging from literary bent to theatre-based events and cultural events amongst others. Thematically, KESSHET 2020 was based on the leitmotif idea of the beautiful ‘Colours of Spring’, which is why the whole ambience was marked by a generous punch of colourful conviviality, mirth and merriment.

Delivering the inaugural address, Dr. Lalitya Vir Srivastava, Director-Asian Education Group said, “KESSHET 2020 is the highly popular annual fest and it is getting bigger and better year after year and this year it is expected to come out as the best so far”. He further stated that “events like KESSHET 2020 offers a dose of relaxation to students after a year of hard work and it brings in a lot of energy and wonderful opportunities to explore oneself”.

Sharing his thoughts on the occasion Mr. Saurabh Sharma, Director-Asian Education Group said that “it is a very proud moment to host this seventh edition of this cultural extravaganza” and he was “very eager to see the performances.” He further asked the students to “have fun and enjoy this part of life which is not going to come back again.”

Mr. Gurdeep Singh Raina, Director-Asian Education Group who also spoke on the occasion remarked, “With 45 colleges participating in this 7th edition of KESSHET, this inter-college fest has only become bigger and better.” He asked the students to “participate wholeheartedly and enjoy every moment of this festivity and treat it as a stress-buster before the beginning of their final exams”.

The fest drew the best talent from 45 institutes across the nation, covering areas ranging from music and drama to literary events, games and creative explosion in graffiti spreading various colours at the ASB campus.

The event comprised of 18 sub-events divided into 2 days – namely, Graffiti, Wizard-Computer Game, Singing, War of Brains-G.K. Quiz, Rangoli-Spray of Colours, Flamboyant Spring (Fashion Show), Battle of Bands, Rock the Floor (Solo Dance), Rock the Floor (Duet Dance), Rock the Floor (Group Dance), Hamari Adalat, Nukkad Natak, Word Power, Crafter’s Clay, Funk Out of Junk, Volte Face-Turncoat Competition, MIME, and Talaash-Detective Game.

Judgement of each event activity was made on the overriding parameters of creativity and innovation. Prizes for the winners of each category were distributed amidst thunderous applause and a great bonhomie. All the participants, whether they won a prize or not, went back home with great memories and a lifetime experience.

The climax of the event was a rocking performance by Indian-Canadian Punjabi playback singer and songwriter, Jaswinder Singh Bains, aka Jazzy B that gave the guests and the students a lifetime experience of fun, frolic and incessant memories.
