This year on 1st Feb 2024, our Finance Minister Mrs. Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Interim Budget for the financial year 2024-2025 (FY25) the country. The budget focused on India’s future by investing in new universities and IIT’s and IIM’s, on reviving the rural economy through rural schemes, infra investments and others.
In order to provide a vision to students, The Manager’s Club, Asian School of Business is pleased to announce a mega event “Budget Conclave 6.0” on 6th March, 2024. This event will provide a platform to students where they can present their proposal as per their analyses of past trends and future requirements.
There will be twelve teams representing twelve different industries. Each team will have one speaker/ presenter who will be supported by a minimum of three researchers. Speakers from each industry will talk about the impact of the previous Budgets on their (one) chosen industry for about 10 minutes and give a proposal as per their analyses of past trends and future requirements. List of industries will be provided through Google form. Nomination will be taken from the students for the industry. Group of 5-6 students will be categorized in 12 industries. The students who want to participate can nominate themselves individually. Later a screening round will be scheduled from which 12 best teams will be selected.
Before the commencement of the conclave, the teams will do their research under the guidance of their respective guides. There will be 2 moderators. During the event, the speaker from each group, composed of 4 members will represent their industry’s past performances and will include the items proposed during the 2024 budget and their proposal as per their analyses of past trends and future requirements.
Then the house will be open for discussion, where in the audience can contribute and provide their inputs. Evaluators from the industry will be judging the event. This event will make the students aware of past budgets on various Industries and proposing future strategies.
