Dr. Maroof Ahmad Mir is working as Professor in the area of Finance & Strategy & Dean Academics with Asian School of Business at Asian Education Group, NOIDA. Dr. Maroof holds a Ph.D. in Management from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). He attained his Master of Business Administration degree in Finance and Accounts specialization from AMU and also holds a Specialization Certification in Strategic Management and Innovation from Copenhagen Business School, Denmark. He is UGC-NET qualified in Management and is a certified AIMA BizLab trainer for management simulation games. Adding to his credentials, he holds certifications in Portfolio & Risk Management, and Financial Markets from University of Geneva, and in Behavioural Finance from Duke University, North Carolina.
Dr. Mir has an overall experience of 15 years and his areas of academic interest include Portfolio Management, Financial Derivatives, Behavioural Finance, Business Strategy, and Technology Adoption. He has 8 papers published in refereed journals including those indexed in Scopus, ABDC and UGC-CARE and his case on Organizational Effectiveness has been published by Case Centre, U.K. He has conducted various Faculty Development Programs on Research Methods, Outcome Based Education, and Finance. He has also been the resource person for Management Development Programs on and Financial Modelling, Personal Finance and Business Strategy for reputed organizations like IOCL and NTPC. Apart from these, he has provided consultancy to many business organizations related to their inventory management, productivity enhancement and product development. He is on the academic board of studies of CCS University and has also provided curriculum development consultancy to different universities.
As an educationist he believes in imparting not only knowledge but also practical orientation in application of concepts as well as ethical professional values to his learners. He is the recipient of “Award for Excellence in Teaching” conferred by the Government of Uttar Pradesh and “Best Researcher Award” conferred by ABV- IIITM, Gwalior, and is a highly acclaimed expert of business strategy and finance domain.
