Dr. Shweta Sharma

Dr. Shweta Sharma holds a Doctorate in Management and currently serves as an Associate Professor at Asian Business School. In addition, she has served as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Indian Council of Social Science Research in New Delhi. She is highly experienced HR specialist in Education Industry. Additionally, she has held the position of accredited faculty of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. Additionally, she possesses expertise in Environment Management. She has successfully passed the UGC NET(Management) Examination and has been honored with the famous Gargi Award. Additionally, she has actively participated in numerous seminars and conferences. She has published 10 articles in numerous national and international academic journals. She has also authored a book on Human Values and Professional Ethics. Dr. Shweta possess two master’s degrees, one in Environmental Science and another in Management. Prior to officially enrolling in the Ph.D. program at Punjab Technical University, she had already built a strong track record of published works. Prior to enrolling in Ph.D. program at university, she had already published three articles in prestigious intellectual journals. She obtained her Ph.D. Degree for her thesis titled ‘Sustainable Tourism Practices in Indian Hotel Industry with a specific focus on Five Star Hotels in Delhi NCR, under the supervision of Prof. Monika Chaudhary from IITTM, Noida with mentorship of Prof. Anil Mehta from Banasthali Vidyapith Newai and the backing of Indian Council of Social Science Research, Dr Shweta performed Post-Doctoral Research in an interdisciplinary domain that focused on analyzing E-waste management and its effect on sustainability. Dr. Sharma has a strong interest in discovering effective solutions to adapt to and reduce the impediments to achieving urban resilience and sustainability. In her previous academic pursuits, she focused especially on Environmental Management, which entailed studying and implementing strategies to modify behavior inside urban systems.
